Elena Ferrante

Elena Ferrante is an Italian writer who does not like to appear openly and we know little about her. She is a refined and coy writer, mysterious and classy. She is an author that, since her first novel, "L'amore molesto", can see within the human soul perfectly. Elena Ferrante does not want to be a public person. She even did not go to take the Oplonti and Procida Elsa Morante prizes she had won for "L'amore molesto". No parties and no public interviews. We must mention her last novel "I giorni dell'abbandono". In both novels the protagonist is a woman who has to face herself and her past. There are relationships of love and hatred: in the first novel, they are focused on her mother and in the second novel they are focused on her husband who leaves home and lets her live again.
